Welcome to TAVMA, the voice of the settlement services industry. TAVMA is a 501(c)(6) non-profit trade association headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA that represents nearly 100 companies engaged in the real estate settlement services industry.

Our members provide all the back-office settlement services needed to close a residential real estate mortgage transaction. Some provide commercial settlement services as well. These services include: Title, appraisal, flood reporting, credit reporting, and closing management. We are the only professional association in the nation dedicated solely to meeting the specialized needs of this vital industry.

We concentrate our efforts in these key areas:

• Promoting the settlement services industry to media, government, user groups, and vendors. Every major industry in the U.S. has an advocate. TAVMA is proud to advocate the vendor management and settlement services sector of the title insurance industry.

• Protecting our members right to compete on a level playing field free of unfair and anti-competitive laws and regulations that inhibit interstate commerce. Building and participating in coalitions, TAVMA coordinate our industry's response to threats to our members rights to compete and to advance vendor management in the United States land title industry.

• Providing useful and timely information about legislative and regulatory threats to the industry, networking opportunities, and educational events.

Your support ensures that we will continue to be an industry voice for a level playing field and reasonable oversight.

TAVMA is not a vendor management company

Among the most frequently asked questions we receive from individuals and companies that provide title, appraisal, and closing services to our member companies is "Does TAVMA maintain a fee panel, and if so, how does one become a service provider to the Association?"

As a trade association, TAVMA does not maintain a fee panel. Therefore, when an inquiry along these lines is received we always refer the caller to our Members page. There they will find links to each of our members' Websites. While individual member companies may indeed have a need for service providers in given locations throughout the United States, TAVMA does not engage in direct vendor management operations, and thus has no orders to refer.
